Located in the northern part of France, 13 miles southwest of the Belgium border, Douai was one of the three major judicial centers in France and has important chemical and engineering works. Douai has the largest belfry in Europe. The famous Douai translation of the Bible was produced there. Douai and Kenosha have been Sister Cities since 1981.
