Description
Mandarmoni is a small fishing village, in West Bengal India, though fast developing as a resort village. The 13 kms long beach is a great attraction. It is arguably said to be the longest motorable beach drive in India.
The local people though still have a very simple life, with the majority of the population still primarily involved in fishing as their solitary source of income. This photograph was taken fairly early in the morning, after the fishermen were back with their catch of the day. They are seen here, putting aside their nets for the day.
