Artist's Description
I wanted to be able to enjoy the mexican gold poppies, famously making a showing at Picacho Peak, Arizona. Unfortunately, due to the lack of winter rains, it wasn't to be. However, near my home, in the most Southeastern part of the Arizona Sonoran Desert, they were growing in patches along the landscaped roadway. Mexican gold poppies, are considered the superstar wildflowers of the Sonoran Desert. I would agree.
These vibrant beauties, really touched my heART. So with my mind's eye, I set out to showcase them in a most spectacular way! The heart is generally regarded as the centre of emotions, so for me these Mexican Gold Poppies, were "A Heart Of Gold!"
