WOW...What an outstanding protrait. I love the colors you used and your brushstrokes.

Hi Marlene I love it! I can see the family resemblance. I agree that this painting has a van Gogh feel. You have captured her beautiful dreamy expression and warm kind personality.

A Beautiful and loving portrait. From your studio memory, I see a wonderful gift was given to you in feeling her presence.

This is another that has that Van Gogh feel..... great work!

Oh, your portraits have such warm personalities! They reflect their creator's heart! Of course, you're related by blood and by spirit... I just love it!

B~ yes, I do draw directly with paint on the canvas. Thanks for the cheers! I think I am going to do more paintings like this...I am itchy to do more portraits! (can't believe I said itchy-cause i had to take Benadryl today because I must be allergic to something and I hope it goes away soon. scratch scratch!

Thank you Tatyana. I am wondering how close to me you live?-I am not far from the North Carolina border.

This portrait is awesome! Warm and full of love..)

thank you, dear.

Marlene, I have always wanted to comment on this endearing painting of your lovely mother. I was always afraid that it would bring tears to my eyes because of the sensitive nature of the subject and the fact that you and I both loved our Mothers so much... But sometimes tears of appreciation and love are good. So here I am finally complimenting you on a painting that I have always admired... Shine on, Anne
