Thank you, Juls! We must care for our tushies! Besides, I have always been a bit whacky. :)

Thank you Susan! This is a particularly classy outhouse. I wonder if the spiders are better behaved. :)

Used one of these more times than I care to remember, good tip about whacking the seat though! Great shot, Steve!

Love this! Got one for me and one for a friend. I framed it in a red painted frame to which I added red glitter. So cute!!

Love the painting, Hypatia is so pensive, I believe she is pondering her latest experiment!!! The muted colors add to the calmness of the painting.

this appears to be a printer (ink jet) type print. I was disappointed with the quality. I'm sorry.

Artist's Description

Ah, the good old days...when you could contemplate nature while reading the catalogue until it was needed for other purposes, and listen to the wind in the windmill and elsewhere! Note: It is a good idea to whack the seat before sitting to alert the spiders of your presence. This facility is part of the Grey Roots pioneer museum in southern Ontario.

I've also had the opportunity to teach about and lead tours to a variety of world destinations including backpacking through the Canadian Rockies, traveling above the Arctic Circle in Norway, into the Sahara in Morocco, and throughout Southeast Asia with a special focus on Thailand. It was my four tours to India that formed me most profoundly, both as a person and as a photographer. It is a magic land of extremes in every sense of the word. More recently I had the opportunity to expand my world view with travel to the Peruvian Andes, the back roads of West...
