This is a still-life of three pears on a shelf. I painted this using acrylic paints on stretched denim. Eleven inches high, it is fourteen inches wide. Not wanting to cover up the blue denim, I left the background simple. This would be a great image for the kitchen or dining room.

I painted this alla prima using three Bartlett pears as a model. I was planning to cook them in a recipe but thought them interesting enough to use them for the subject of a painting first. I set them atop my bookshelf next to my eisel and did a painting of them.
