A small herd of horses quietly nibbles its way through country fields. Rural scenes are ones of beauty and peace.
Frequently, to find meadows and fields such as this one, it entails getting out of the car and walking a bit – not too far, but just far enough off the road that one can get away from the highway and its sights and noise.
Away from the noise, as well, one is more likely to see animals – both domestic and wild – in their natural state, going through their day of grazing, wandering, walking, resting and just being. A Peaceful Nibble invites us into this landscape – this place of quiet and peace where the pace is unhurried, the silence profound, the demands not as screaming and insistent as what we encounter in the office cubicle, or out on the streets.
Like most representational art, A Peaceful Nibble invites us to step away from our present surroundings for a moment and just enter a space where there is opportunity to think, to wonder, and to wander. So rarely do we allow our minds to gently wander to a beautiful place – too often, we see these beautiful places briefly as images on the TV or phone screen, the media itself demanding that we move on quickly to the next sight, or the next site.
Stop for a moment with the horses and gaze while they graze.
