This photograph was taken while my sister, Bobbie Tipton was touring Key West, Florida. With her permission I have processed it to include using a texture. Key West's nickname is " The Conch Republic ". In the 20th century many residents of Key West started referring to themselves as Conchs, and the term is now generally applied to all residents of Key West. There is much seafood and island cuisine to be had here (let's not forget the Key Lime Pie!) and there is also rich history and quaint neighborhoods to explore, not to mention the fantastic ocean-water experiences that await locals and tourists alike. The island is the southermost point of the United States and is only four miles long and one mile wide. It is only 90 miles away from Cuba.
I have enjoyed taking photos since I was a little girl, but especially began learning about the skill and art of photography in college; however, as years went by I, like most of us, put the camera in the drawer and would pull it out only for special occasions. For the most part, photography has been a passion that I put on the shelf; but now I have the opportunity to share with others some of my favorite photos,while exploring creative and new styles in photography and digital art. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything...animals, nature, vistas, people, architecture, and landscapes. I love it all! I am in awe of God's creation and ever so thankful that I have the opportunity to reflect a piece of it through a photograph. I hope...
