I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

Acrylic on canvas 48x60" created in 2004.
I am a huge Florida State fan, so of course I liked this painting right away. After all who wouldn't, with the wonderful choice of garnet and gold for the colors of it. There is also gray, white, and a bit of black in the painting which really help to bring all the colors out and too life. This is a painting that I would want to hang front and center in my living room for everyone to see. Florida State is one of my favorite teams, and if I can get a piece that is able incorporate the colors of the team in a piece of artwork that is this great and detailed then why wouldn't I?
I think that there is so much going on in this painting, but still it is not overwhelming. I like the way that I can focus on just one area of the painting at a time, in order to be able to get the most out of it, but also focus on it as a whole and take something completely different from it. This piece is one that I could look at for hours on end, and not feel...
About Wayne Salvatore
I use color and paint to express my response to everything: nature, music, dogs, travel, happenings, etc. Sometimes an image flashes into view and I can’t relax until I recreate it, not even just the image, but also the emotions that came with it. I rely on my own instincts to gauge my success. The process is agonizing at times, but when it works, I feel complete elation. Biography: Wayne was born in Hartford, CN in 1948 and loved the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, Salvador Dali and Vincent Van Gogh early on. Although his formal education was in Photojournalism, art has always been a big part of his life and in 2004 he was stuck with a dilemma. He had bought over 24 quarts of paint from the local Kelly-Moore paint...
