love this greeting card
This is 30" x 48" acrylic on canvas copy of a mid 19th century painting. It shows a man and a woman riding in a horse drawn sleigh. The sleigh is made to look like either a pair of geese or swans. It is being pulled by a two horses, one dark brown, and the other a reddish ginger color. To the viewers left is a post and rail fence. The foreground has a branch lying in the snow. The background has a lake with a long line of trees and hills or mountains in the far distance. The sky is cloudy with a bright area near the horizon.
The original is an oil on canvas painted by an unknown artist circa 1845. It now belongs to the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT. The copy is about 20 percent wider than original painting because the customer wanted it wider.
The title sounded odd to me at first but if you look at the alternate definitions for the words "smart" and "turn-out" it makes sense.
smart: (of a person) clean, neat, and well-dressed. "you look very smart".

I'm David Straughan, a resident of New Hampshire. In 1999 I started painting artwork, making cards and Christmas ornaments for family and friends. More recently I been making canvas paintings. Realism is my style of choice in painting, though I do alter reality a bit by adding or subtracting elements such as lampposts or trees in order to make the a painting more pleasing. I use acrylic paint because of the low odor and easy clean-up. I can be contacted on Telegram David_Straughan or WhatsApp +16036357767
