Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

A bouquet of tulips in a clear glass vase sketched with pencil on sketch paper and with the use of Topaz Studio and glow I was able to add color and a glow to the scene. The scene was created to have light coming in from the right side and shadow on the left. I didn't want to go to brownish with the color and worked with the features to give the scene more of an orange blush while keeping the light on one side.
It seems since I developed a lost balance in which I all of a sudden fall side ways or backwards without warning it also affected my ability to center things well. I decided to go with it and use this little tic in my creative process. Thank goodness I can still sit in a chair without falling out of it. :-) So I am very lucky and have a very creative walking cane which I'd much rather play with as a baton but I was informed not to do that around people. :-)

Debra is a Tennessean who migrated to Maryland in the late 1970's. She studied art at FCC in Frederick, Maryland where she began her psychology and social science studies. She incorporated art into her curriculum. After graduating from FCC she studied for a Bachelor in Psychology with a Minor in Social Sciences. She then continued her studies and graduated from UMUC in Maryland with a Bachelor in Criminal Justice. She graduated with Cum Laude honors with both Bachelors and then began her Masters in Forensic Psychology. Do to health issues she had to leave her studies behind, which is when she returned to the art that she loves. Debra will be a good friend to those she knows due to the fact she never left her father's teachings behind...
