I had purchased this to help me tote all my materials when I have multiple items to bring between my classroom and to meetings in different rooms. This is sturdy and does what it was made for. The strap is of a good length to place over my shoulder. I LOVE the image which brings a smile to my face each time I see it and I get a small pop of happiness each time I know I'm headed off to another meeting because I get to see this beautiful image. If I have any request, it would be nice to have a small side pocket inside to keep smaller items like a phone or lip balm separate from the larger items in the main compartment. But I think I will be able to add this myself.

It's great except I very much wish it had at least one inside pocket.
I wanted to make the color of the maple leaf more intense than in the reference photo, so that the warm tones of the leaf would pop against the cool color tones of the earth and pebbles. I like the contrast. This piece was a lot of work- I lost track when I hit 50hours of draw time. All those little pebbles were a test of my patience but, in the end, I'm happy I took the time. I love naturally occurring still lifes, more than those arranged by hand. There's beauty all around us, even in the shadows of tiny little pebbles and in the life cycle of a leaf.
