Congratulations! Your fantastic art is featured in the FIVE STAR ARTIST group. LF.

Thank you so much! This rainy but colorful day brings back warm memories.

This pastel painting feels wonderful to look at! You have really captured the moment, and I love the colors, and especially like the puddles and reflections in the foreground. l/f

Many thanks for the kind comments on my late Autumn walk.

Wonderful color and feeling!

Me too! My absolute favorite time of year and my favorite thing to do-besides paint.

Thanks for the nice comments!

A beautiful painting, Mary! v/f

Wonderful work. Beautiful warm colors.

Thanks! It's familiar if you've been to northern Minnesota in the fall. It's Jay Cook State Park, just south of Duluth.

This is my most visited post: Thanks!

This was a gift to a person who is restoring a prairie. This year she has 14 herons gathering on the banks of the Little Sioux River. The tote bag was well received.

Artist's Description

This painting won the Jack Richeson merit award in the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies competition in 2008. This is how I like to remember the cool autumn days of Northern Minnesota.

About Mary Giacomini

I love the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places. My artwork is inspired by places I've been to and would like to return. I enjoy getting "lost" when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in. I've been a professional artist for over 18 years but have been an artist my entire life. I've always loved to create. I earned a BFA in studio arts, have taken numerous classes & workshops over the years and have a wonderful support system of artist friends. Since I live in Colorado, many of my paintings reflect this area. I enjoy working in oil, pastel and watercolor.
