Love the colors a size.
The original watercolor that I painted was larger than this painting and done in fall colors. So I decided to alter it by changing the colors to dusty lavender tones and the season of the year to winter.
As I look at this peaceful winter scene with the wildlife enjoying a happy reunion at the woodland pond it brings back fond memories of happy reunions for me, too. When I was a child growing up in England I use to love to go to the local park to feed the ducks and watch them dive into the water to get the bread. I noticed that most of them tried to out swim one another to get to the bread first. But there was always those slower ducks who preferred to wait for me to throw bread directly at them so they wouldn't have to work at getting fed! So I always paid attention to make sure the slower ducks always got fed, too.♥

I grew up in the United Kingdom, and immigrated to the USA when I was 19. After attending several different colleges over a number of years, I finally received my BA degree and began teaching children with special needs. However before I got my teaching degree I was a substitute teacher, and got hired to teach art classes in an elementary school in Southern California. The goal of this pilot program was to determine what kind of impact creative expression might have on the academic lives of elementary school students.
