Due to increasing physical issue I am now posting for my dad along with monitoring and maintaining his art and photography sites. He appreciates all your support over the years! This is his portrait of a Mandrill leader and largest in the group. He looks pretty upset to say the least. Actually he was tired and doing a lot of yawning. It must have been getting close to his nap time. Mandrills are the world's largest species of monkey. Both the mandrill and the drill were once classified as baboons, but recent research has determined they should be separated into their own genus, Mandrillus.
