This old abandoned home still stands after over 100 years of life in northern Lumkpkin County.
My interest in Photography started at an early age, during the mid 60s. when I found my Grandfather's glassplate negatives, prints, and notebook. They were in a small wooden box in the drawer of a old wooden desk, in the basement of our house. My Grandfather Hewett A. Beasley was a photographer from Baltimore, Maryland, during the late 1800's to 1920 when he passed away from scarlet fever. During that short period he exhibited in local, regional, and national photography shows. In 1899 H.A.Beasley participated in an International Photography Show, at "The Pennsylvania Academy Of Fine Arts" in Philadelphia, in which Alfred Stieglitz was the feature Photographer. He also wrote numerous articles about photography in local newspapers and...
