About Bonnie Diaz
Growing up in the 1960's I was proud to have Amish relatives, a ranch style house in the Ohio suburbs, and a normally dysfunctional family. I used to love telling made-up stories to my friends, allowing my ever growing imagination to run away with me. In grade school I would look out the window instead of paying attention in class and daydream of worlds beyond earth. My artistic talents soon became apparent when I started making my own patterns for clothes when I was 12. I saved up enough money from babysitting to buy a used sewing machine and I began to sew. My father always taught me if I didn't have enough money to buy something, then figure out how to make it. By the time I was 16 I sewed most of my outfits for school. ...
