Description
Made a trip out to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, about an hour east of Vancouver, BC. to take some tulip photos. Went out in the morning on a bright sunny day but very windy. Did not realize how windy until we got out of the car. Always a challenge to photograph flowers in windy conditions. Any ways treated to some beautiful color out here with and abundance of tulips in bloom. There was also a lot that still have not bloomed yet but in the coming days more will be on the way. Never been out to one of these special flower fields where they grow tulips. They had all the bright colorful types of tulips growing in the field, and made for a unique photographic challenge. After getting there and looking at how they were planted in long rows I decided to use my macro lens for most of the images to focus on just the flowers against each other which produced some interesting contrasts. Hope every one enjoys these images.
