This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Relating to the biblical story of King Nebuchanezzar and his throwing Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego into the fiery furnace, ramping up the temperature ten fold, and when he looked into the furnace to see their condition, expecting to see ashes, he saw all three plus a Forth Figure. When the four of then walked out of the furnace, not a one of them smelled of smoke
About Jim Ellis
Graduating University of Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, I was recruited by hallmark Card Company in Kansas City to work in a special design group, designing products for Halls, the company owned exclusive retail outlet. Houston became my next place of employment, working as a graphic designer for approximately five years. Then a client enticed me into self employment opening my own Jim Ellis Design Studio. At the studio, I designed brochures, collateral material, logos for most of at the major oil companies, their suppliers, private companies and whomever had need of graphic design to resolve their particular needs.
