I see nature through the eyes of a child, and in my paintings I capture a stunning moment of discovery. Sometimes I capture entrancing beauty, at other times my work reflects a 
whimsical moment, and at other times I express a deep concern for nature. I use my own photography as a reference to record specific details. I research my subjects and create a series of preliminary sketches working out composition components. Using a microscope I dissect and study plant and insect specimens. The more I look, the more I see, and the more I can convey to viewers.
