Description
Painted while attending a New York Plein Air Painters Retreat at Great Camp Sagamore. Blue Mountain Lake is located on Route 28 about 12 mile north of the road into Sagamore. I saw a PBS TV program on the Raquette River which is the second longest river in NY with the Hudson as the longest. The Raquette flows through Blue Mountain Lake and many other locations before entering the St Lawrence River near Massena NY. The view was on the TV show as seen from the observation deck of the Adirondack Museum. I emailed the Museum in advance for permission to bring my painting equipment in and paint on the deck (after paying admission of course).
