We were looking for a large piece to hang in our home office. My wife and I have both worked in the aero space industry and love photos of older planes. We had a tough time choosing which item to choose but are very happy with this one. From the colors to the photo on canvas quality we could not be happier. Great quality!

Love my Canvas print of Delanie! Very satisfied. I will be purchasing my second canvas from this company very soon! Thanks Fine Arts America!

I purchased this canvas print for my 14 year old son who shares my love of Medieval history and culture. He loved it, I loved it, the whole family was envious! We love the style the artist has used. Many of the others I looked at were rather washed out looking or the characters depicted had a very deliberately posed look. This piece looks like we've happened upon a group mid-battle. My only regret is that we couldn't afford to purchase a larger size...maybe one day!

The print is beautiful but their customer service is even better! I first ordered this print on wood. The colors were somewhat muted and it developed a crack down the center. I returned it and payment was refunded very promptly. I reordered the same print in a larger size, this time on canvas. Both prints arrived to the Big Island of Hawaii very quickly which is not always the case when I order from the mainland. I was also impressed with the packaging. Mr. Robinson's print will reside in my kitchen above a new zebra wood counter and will remind me of old Hawaii every day

Gorgeous photo with deeply saturated color. Bravo to the artist!

Artist's Description

Inspired by the African-turned-Canadian dancer Zelma Badu, the dancer turns her face to the blazing sun while her feet are rooted in her native soil. The ebony hair, made from billiard cue blanks, heavy, visually and physically, strikes towards the earth in a gesture of defiance at being stolen for games played in northern parlours.

About Gordon Becker

Gordon Becker

My life in art began in earnest at the age of eleven in Wellesley, Ontario. Being utterly captivated by a film of an Inuit carver creating an image full of magic and power from a raw lump of stone, I determined then and there to become a carver. A Christmas gift of a small set of high quality carving tools began a passion that has never abated. After leaving O.C.A. in 1969 I traveled and worked around the world for nearly a decade; building houses and fighting forest fires in the Yukon, picking potatoes in England, washing pots in Paris, doing hotel laundry in Switzerland, (where I learned to speak French), building more houses in New Zealand and managing exploration work in northern Australia. My travels included several months in Central...
