In George's words - "Hip hop was just breaking out of the Bronx, and I remember hearing the music from Kraftwerk's 'TransEurope Express' blasting out of a car stuck in a traffic jam, but with different lyrics.
A month later, Tommy Boy Records sent over four huge black gentlemen to my studio for a publicity shot. I was shocked by the elaborate costumes these guys pulled out of four large trash bags.
I mean, these guys were so big, they wouldn't fit on my photo paper!"
Bambaataa's influence on the emerging Hip-Hop scene continued with the formation of the Zulu Nation collective, featuring the talents of the Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and Queen Latifah.
