Description
While passing through a Houston neighborhood on a slightly rainy day, I spotted a beautiful magnolia tree. Despite the weather, I stopped, got out of the car, and took a picture that later became the inspiration for my painting, After a Fresh Rain. Each blossom is meticulously rendered in various stages of bloom, from tight buds to opened petals, capturing the softness and grace of this elegant flower. The branches intertwine with lush green leaves, forming a natural and intricate composition. The texture created by rice paper and watercolor batik adds a unique and captivating dimension to the piece.
The image is digitally remastered and re-rendered from watercolor batik painting "After a Fresh Rain" by Hailey E. Herrera.
