Love this duvet cover in the Tree Fort Suite of the Elk View Lodge, Fernie, BC, Canada.
There are two main disciplines of Freestyle Skiing: tricks and moguls. Aerialists ski off snow jumps that propel the athletes up to 65 ft. in the air where they perform multiple flips and twists like 'the Daffy', 'the heli' and triple back flips before landing. Aerial skiing requires agility, creativity, skill and above all courage. With controlled splashes of watercolor, as far as the athlete is in control of his jump, I have attempted to capture in this painting the excitement and adrenaline rush felt by the skier during an aerial maneuver. Inquiries welcome into this painting or into the commission of your own original sports action painting in watercolor, oil or acrylic paint or as a sports wall mural.
