The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

For over a year now I have had this idea for a more creepy take on the Alice theme, but, I didn�t want to go down the sadistic serial killer Alice rout as found in the American McGee games and similar references, therefore it was put to one side.

However, in recent months, I guess with all the 2012 end of the world stuff floating around the airwaves I began looking closely at the world we live in, realising the relentless push for consumerism, where nothing is held sacred anymore, so, the concept was born.

What have we done to this world? A world where if we can make a dollar at any cost then why not, anything goes right? Well, I see this as a selling out of the innocence in life, replacing it with this drive for more and more until there is nothing left except for the dead corpse of life just wandering in this mindless loop, never content like a zombie craving the brains of its next victim. Surely, life worth more than this?

I am a visual artist working out of my home studio in Northern England. I began my training in Digital Art and Design at Newcastle College of art in 2001, however, since 2007, and with the encouragement of a very good friend, I have begun to explore the world through the medium of canvas and oils. However, in recent years, I have found myself becoming more involved in the Virginia (USA) art scene than that of my home-town, because of contact with friends and the various art groups in the Hampton Roads area. Though graphic digital art/publishing, crafting and website design is where I make my living, my heart lies with my fine art. Influences include the old masters, most notably The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Dante Gabriel Rossetti...
