ALONE ON THE PRAIRiE
On a hike in Cathedral State Park, Utah, this one tree, stood alone on the prairie .
I wanted to know how this happened, why and how this one seed took hold and grew while the rest of the Praire was devoid of these trees. I thought about how the seeds we plant in life through our actions sometime take hold while others do not. Then a song started singing in my head, “O bury me not on the lone prairie”
I remember walking away smiling and wondering why this old sister ballad suddenly popped up into my consciousness . I think I even began to sing it as I walked along.
