About Dorothy Nalls
After a lengthy career with the Santa Barbara Police Department that included drawing hundreds of forensic composite sketches of area suspects, I have focused my creativity on oil and watercolor painting. My passion is to paint en plein air at various locations along the coastal regions of California. But when that is not possible, I enjoy painting at my home studio. It is my intention to paint with vibrant color in new and inventive ways, keeping my work fresh and energetic. I have concentrated my study in plein air oil painting with respected painter and original Oak Group member, Michael Drury, and watercolor with renowned watercolorists Cathy Quiel and Annette Paquet.
