When will I get my order???
The Alta Lakes are just south of Mountain Village and Telluride in southwestern Colorado. Nestled in the mountains at about 11300 feet, they are not the easy places to find. Steep rough roads make it so the average vehicle just can't get there. However, the trip is worth the effort. The Alta Lakes are a series of 3 small, pristine lakes surrounded by 13000+ foot mountains. The water is clear and smooth as glass. The air is pure and clean, though at that altitude, it is not easy to breathe. Especially for someone who comes from about 650 ft altitude.
Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting. My paintings are mostly places I've been, preserving the memory and sharing them with the world. I love to travel, seeing and experiencing new things. Painting the things I see reflect the wonder I had when I first saw them. I hope that when people see my works, they think the subject matter is interesting, whether or not they like the painting. My wife and I have been looking for a piece of art that captured what is in this painting. Beautiful and reminiscent of many backpacking trips from years ago. While the print will be nice, is there any chance you have an original available that is similar? I don'tknow that we could afford it, but I have to ask.
