In this photo by Lincoln Rogers, a bareback rodeo cowboy hangs in on a ride to give everything and successfully ride a wild bucking horse during a large indoor rodeo competition. In the bareback competition, leaning all the way back (or being “exposed”), having the toes of the cowboy boots pointed out and showing good spurring action by bringing the boots all the way up on the horse's neck help make a ride more successful in the eyes of the judges.
Photography software has been used to add texture, grain and grit in order to convey the rugged and tough-as-nails determination of every rodeo cowboy.
