Description
Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains can be a most magical experience. The Oaks, Poplars, Birch and Maples that make up a high percentage of the tree species found in the Blue Ridge, turn golden yellows, oranges, and reds in the end of September through October. The ever present question of the timing of 'peak foliage colors' changes from year to year depending on water, sunlight and temperature. This Fall landscape was captured in late October on the Rose River Fire Road in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, USA.
