Oops - this computer keep doing what I tell it to do :) If one Santa is wonderful, what could be better than lots of Santas? I love Santa's implied twinkle in his eye, his fascination with his lookalikes. All in all, fun and entrancing!

Thank you, Kay, for catching the spirit of this piece -- which, by the way, is one of my favorites of the Santa series.

Gorgeous bag was great quality and just beautiful!

This bag is gorgeous and the owner is thrilled with it. It actually travelled to Spain.

Absolutely beautiful. This vav is really sturdy, enough so that I am using it as a work tote for my laptop, etc. The image is beautifully printed on both sides and the rope handles are the perfect length

The bag is bright and colorful with adorable pandas. It is well made and has an easy to wipe surface. It is quite functional as it is roomy and well stitched. My daughters adore it.

Looks great-have not yet used it as it is winter here in New Zealand.

I love my Sea Turtle bag! I am constantly getting compliments on the design. It is durable, yet stylish, and I use it almost daily.

Artist's Description

Stopping at the window and checking it twice, Santa enjoys an encounter with himself -- many times over. In the artwork, An Unforeseen Encounter, the viewer is invited to join Santa on his Christmas Eve rounds, and we stop, along with the jolly old elf, outside a store window display filled with figurines of Santa himself. Intrigued, St. Nick takes off his glasses for a closer look (does this mean that he is wearing reading glasses? Or are the glasses fogging over in the cold?). Who ARE all these Santas? And does he really look that fat? Red does look good on him . . . A slight smile plays across Santa’s face as he looks at himself, over and over and over again because, among the many attributes of Father Christmas is that of a sense of humor, and he is intrigued to see so many varieties of himself in one place. It’s intriguing to note that, on the busiest night of Santa’s year, he has time to pause and look at the colorful window display. One would think, in a highly driven...

About Steve Henderson

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 10 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I focus on images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
