I created this piece in 2012. I thought I had uploaded it on here back in the day, but just discovered recently it was not on FAA. LOL It is a mixed media piece made of woven wooden panels, collage and acrylic. It is an upcycled piece of artwork representing mankind's ancestral tree from the sea to the American Indians. I chose the Indians because they were close to the earth and the animals. I also have some American Indian in me and feel connected to the planet. The ancestry for humanity is constantly evolving. I wanted to make a statement with this artwork. I always try to tell a story. In this piece it is going backwards, instead of forwards in some areas. Some people are really connected to the planet and others are not. There is a lot of greed. I leave my art open to interpretation. That's art, people project their life experiences, opinions and everything else when they are making comparisons. It's a never ending battle with our species.
