This photograph was taken on October 21, 2018, in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona about 50 miles south of Phoenix. It is a part of my Dances with Cloud Kachina series and also included in my collection entitled simply desert skyscapes. The sun was setting but had not completely colored all the clouds yet. I believe that this particular formation is in the vein of the stratocumulus variety, but I am not certain. When they parted, and I saw the straight lines of light shimmering down, I couldn’t help but think of the Qabalistic description of angels as pillars of light. So that’s what I named this photo - Angels Arriving. At least, that’s what it looked like to me!
