The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Rebuilds: Arrived at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co., Manitowoc, WI, June 1, 1958, to receive new pilothouse; lengthened; dieselized (3241 gross - 372 x 56 x 18.25). Deck was raised two feet. Tonnage change, 1922 (2716 gross - 1679 net).
History: Sold on stocks as MAITLAND NO. 2; launched as ANN ARBOR NO. 6. As ARTHUR K. ATKINSON: Collided with 19th Street Bridge, Manitowoc, WI, April 29, 1973, causing an estimated $20,000 damages to the bridge. Aground about three hours on July 6, 1981, at Manitowoc, WI, before being released by a tug with possible propeller and shaft damage. Laid up in April, 1982 at Frankfort, MI. Towed to Sturgeon Bay in 1983. Towed to Ludington, MI on September 2, 1994.
