“Gifts from the camera” was born out of 15 years of photographing the British countryside. This land has so much beauty, there's never a need to go abroad. The only problem with a lot of the images I captured was the modern world. Take a typical English cottage scene add a few parked cars, telegraph poles, TV aerials or a burglar alarm and the whole image is ruined. Luckily, up to now I've worked in the electronics world and with computers from the early eighties. Having a digital camera I always ended up photographing the products I designed and prepared leaflets, catalogues and web pages for them. This involved huge amount of digital editing and on numerous occasions producing photographs of products that never existed. So...
