This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
A pond of Lilly pads stretch before my eyes, all green except one. One amongst hundreds decides it is time to venture forth. That one lilly stands out from all the rest simply because it's the first. None of the other lillies catch your eye because the rest of them haven't made the decision to show their true colours. Though the flower has not yet made it's full identity known the simple act of being first has made it stand out from all the rest. What makes you stand out before you are approaching lilly?
About Alan Rutherford
There are little pieces of me in collections around the world, United States, Japan, Holland, and England just to name a few. One of the highlights of my career was being invited to represent my country in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’ Arte Contemporanea 2003 in Florence Italy. I’ve exhibited in numerous shows such as the Toronto Outdoor Exhibition that takes place every summer in Toronto Canada, Art in the Park, Windsor Ontario and various other venues throughout the province of Ontario Canada. My main focus however for the last twenty years or so was my open studio in downtown Toronto, which I recently closed in order to allow myself greater creative freedom. I presently teach children and adults. I love the creative process...
