About Travis Elder
My photography is an expression of my love for life and the natural world. I grew up in rural Northern California. Nature was a part of daily life. As I got older I discovered the camera. I began to realize a passion for exploring the world through a camera lens. In college I studied anthropology and communication with a emphasis on digital photography and documentary film. I’ve always dreamed of being an adventure photographer. Sometimes life has other plans though. My mother had been fighting a life long illness with Multiple Sclerosis. Her condition had worsened and while I was still in college she needed my help at home. Helping with her illness also meant that I needed to make money to help out with the bills. So my part...
