Artist's Description

Archie, an owner of The Waccatee Zoo in Socastee, SC, readily agreed to pose for this photo. His mirrored sunglasses and red cap add to the character of the man--congenial and always quick to share his "stories" and lots of local color!! 5-24-11 NOTE: Archie passed away this winter, but his memory will live on at the Zoo and Estuary which he built in Socastee, SC! His family still runs and maintains the business. I will remember him, too!
