Description
Venice, Italy, is without a doubt, one of the most intriguing cities of the world. Steeped in history, atmosphere and colorful character, it is truly the stuff of dreams. Palatial palazzo's flank either side of the Grand Canal, the emerald green water glistening jewel like as it winds it's way through this mystical maze. Gondolas glide along gracefully, seeming to skim the surface of the water. Fine details are everywhere in Venice, from the elaborate, vintage, red tinted street lamps, to the ornate facades of ancient buildings. It's easy to get lost in the labyrinth of this city on the water, but it's a place you don't mind going off the beaten track in, never knowing what is around the next corner is part of it's allure. I blended a little texture with my original black and white photograph to compliment this old world Venetian scene.
