This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

Artist's Description
It looks like a giant bug when viewed from its end but it is L'Hemisferic, the IMAX cinema at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia Spain, a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination. The building is meant to resemble a giant eye when viewed from the side. Its design resembles an eyelid that opens to access the surrounding water pool. The Hemesferic also known as the planetarium or the 'eye of knowledge, and is the centerpiece of the City of Arts and Sciences. It was the first building completed in 1998. The entire complex is the most important modern tourist destinations in the city of Valencia and one of the 12 Treasures of Spain. From a photographer's point of view it is a treasure, similar to other architectural designs by Santiago Calatrava (e.g., Milwaukee Art Museum, Dallas' Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Barcelona's Olympic Park Communications Tower). The City of Arts and Sciences is situated at the end of the former riverbed of the river Turia, which was...
About Joan Carroll
Protected with PIXSY About Joan Carroll: I am a Fort Worth Texas-based outdoor photographer who feels at home while on the road...in Texas, in the US, around the world. My photographic goal is to travel the world in a curious yet respectful way, taking the time to see and understand the unique story of each place I visit. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
