3D stereo grayscale OOF image of an art fish with effects I added through Photoshop. Viewing: Gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. This method becomes progressively easier with experience.
I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Best Regards, Brian Wallace https://twitter.com/Starg82343

Cool! I thought all kids learned to cross their eyes when they were in grade school, but like so many things, we tend to forget as we get older.

Yes, I've heard that not everyone is able to focus like that. Fortunately, I've been doing that as far back as grade school, staring up at the ceiling tiles in boredom after a test... LOL they sure do pop out at you!
Brian Wallace
Thanks Dolly! Apparently not everyone can "freeview" with this method so I'm glad you were successful. It becomes easier the more it's done. Take a look at my 3D X-View gallery if you like... http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/brian-wallace.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=73730
