It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. It’s now in his own company facility. He loves it.
These pretty wildflowers grow here but are not overwhelming in their numbers. They can be pesky when totally happy in their habitat. We are pleased to see them bloom with these lovely, blue flowers. The flowers last only for one morning, thus the name "dayflower".
This picture was taken August 10, 2013, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA, with a Canon T4i camera and Tamrpn macro lens (90mm).

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

Thank you so much:>). They are small and probably get overlooked a lot, but the color blue is so pretty, especially with the yellow naughty parts - LOL.

Nancy Kane Chapman
What fragile beauties. I love blue flowers...and there don't seem to be many. Great macro portrait, Carol!
Carol Senske replied:
What I call a true blue (these, forget-me-not, batchelor buttons, etc) flower is not nearly as common as the blue/purples. This is a pretty one, I think:>) Thanks, Nancy!
