So great to have this NJ image in the "Art For Hurricane Sandy Relief group"! Thanks for donating all your profits from its sale to the effort to maybe return this scene to this state. V

Mother Nature replied:

My gratitude to you, Lin, for this group and for featuring this image:>)

Looks old ,nice shot

Mother Nature replied:

Thanks, Kathy! I'm involved in some "stuff" and am not putting in the usual amount of time, but I see you've been busy:>) I'll catch up in a few days.

Beautifully done, Carol F&V

Mother Nature replied:

I'm pleased you like it enough to give it your vote and fave! Thanks, Karol:>)

Wonderful mood you created Carol. Love your texturing. v/f

Mother Nature replied:

You're very generous with this gray-haired old lady:>) Thanks! And much appreciation for the V/F!!!

Oh Carol - I so adore this. Seriously this just fills me with a sense of longing - I can't tell you how much I'd love to be right there just gazing out over the water, seeing those boats already out of the water for winter and dreaming of the first warm spring day to set sail again. Love this. F/V TW

Mother Nature replied:

For a great many people the sea is "home" - it's like saltwater runs in their veins:>). I totally know what this is like! It's elemental. Thank you so, so much for this special comment and the V/F and TW, too. There is nothing like going to sleep to the sound of the surf, and, on foggy nights, the foghorn.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful Harbor.

Mother Nature replied:

You are very kind, Anand:>) Thank you so much for this lovely comment!

This is fantastic! I love this! Instant v/f

Mother Nature replied:

Thanks, Lenore. I greatly value your comments and appreciate the V/F very much:>)

Gorgeous imagery, Carol! Love the texture to this piece, and all the elements of the water, rocks, ships, and background are all awesome in their capture and presentation! F/V

Mother Nature replied:

You, kind man, remind me of this quote: "... a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, ALL... have the potential to turn a life around." (Leo Buscaglia) Thank you for this lovely comment and the V/F:>)

gosh... beautiful treatment Carol, lovely view...v/f

Mother Nature replied:

Thank you! I was feeling less than stellar because of the diesel fumes and snapped this in the rain. Somehow it wasn't a total failure:>). It is a lovely view to come home to!

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Acrylic Print Reviews (900)

Average Rating (5 Stars):

September 12th, 2018

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

I have seen this in person many times. I thought it would be nice to have a picture of it. I am so glad I got this.

I lived in the area and saw Mt. Rainier often. I used to call it "my" mountain. Now, I have a photo of it to remind me of its beauty.

I had 3 painting on my order. I ordered oversized images on acrylic with metallic mountings and they look beautiful in our restaurant. Planning to order another set for our other location!

Artist's Description

ALL SALES PROCEEDS FROM THIS IMAGE WILL GO TOWARD HURRICAN RELIEF. Until Hurricane Sandy is only a memory, the donations will go to Hurricane Sandy relief. I chose this image because it shows boats in a safe harbor in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The picture was taken a few months ago before the devastation took place. These boats are moored in a side harbor with a large stone breakwater in front. This is Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, USA. A texture from Shadowhouse Creations is used.

About Mother Nature

I invite you to visit my blog - Nature's Wonders - which is all about the natural world in my neighborhood. http://mothernature2014.blogspot.com/ I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever...
