Although we thought we missed out on the autumn colors in the Upper Peninsula we actually didn't. The adding of my daughter and husband in the photograph was done intentionally to give the photograph more depth and to add a human element to the landscape.
About Amanda Kiplinger
I've been interested in photography since I picked up my first camera at the age of twelve. Growing up on a dairy farm in Ashland County gave me many opportunities to photograph landscapes, my favorite subject. While other teenagers were busy taking pictures of their friends making goofy faces I was trying to imitate my favorite landscape photographer, Ansel Adams. Several years later, I decided to make my love of photography into a profession. Philosophy: Many people feel that anyone can take a picture.
