The painting is an exploration of the early morning light on the city of Auckland, New Zealand, as one of the many ferries transports people for their day in the city.
Virgil Carter, BWS, PWS, PWCS, TWS, is a watercolor painter, teacher, demonstrator, workshop leader, author and Internet commentator. He paints primarily in watercolor, both en plein aire and from his studio in Boerne, TX. Primarily a representational painter, Virgil paints a variety of subjects, but enjoys most painting landscapes and town/urban subjects. Very nice to travel throuh your artworks , which are very colorful ! This ferry ride , back and forth from Auckland to Davenport has been a two years experience for transportation a few years ago . Nice memories !
