I love this painting and would love to see it in a group named Sydney I just started !!!

Oh amazing painting, I know the Didgeridoo, it's the only instrument that the player must learn to suck and blow at the same time. Love it!! F/V

Thank you so much for the nice feedback, I really appreciate it!!

I adore the sound of didgeridoo, its so ancient and so earthy! Wonderful painting, Xueling! interesting contrast in between modern Sydney buildings and traditional aborigin!

Wonderful work, Xueling. Love the contrast between the old and new. I hope you will upload this one to the Contest Winners Group. :)

Congrats Xueling on the 1st place win in the Tribal contest!! Your beautiful painting is well deserving it!!

Amazing painting, Xueling! We love how you show in here the two different sides of one and the same world: The huge and modern city, but in front and in focus the indigenous people with their ancient, but beautiful and strong culture. We voted ... Heiko and Helga

I love your sense of the world view. This is exemplified in this painting. This is amazing! v/f

I love the contrast! Makes one to think ... hopefully.

Xueling this isso good it is also nice to see the tradition and thedetail your work is truly multicultural

You must be widely travelled to have captured so many cultures in your art. This artwork of the aborgine is truely wonderful. I love the Opera theatre done in pastel shades as a contrast - in the background. Thanks for your kind comments on ' The Real Home Makers'.

I didn't get to see it - the onesie I bought - was a gift, but my niece loved it! Thank you so much for the perfect gift!

I had very good experience with FineArtAmerica when I got two cushions customized. With that, I customized two tshirts and one baby onesie with my design, which ended up in a very bad quality. I was gifting it to my friends and was totally disappointed with the quality of the print on the tshirts and baby onesie. This negative experience puts an uncertainty on my mind to go to Fine art America again!

The shirt was faded. Looks a lot better in the picture.

Artist's Description

Thank you for viewing my original art. ©Xueling Zou - This piece won the 1st place at the contest - Tribal on April 16th, 2012. http://fineartamerica.com/contests/tribal.html?tab=leaderboard The didgeridoo is the unique and ancient instrument of the Australian aborigine. The spiritual and healing power of the didj has been used for thousands of years in secret ceremonies of Australian aborigines. For surviving Aboriginal groups of northern Australia, the didgeridoo is still an integral part of ceremonial life, as it accompanies singers and dancers in cultural ceremonies that continue. The didgeridoo is a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1,500 years ago and still in widespread usage today both in Australia and around the world. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or "drone pipe". Musicologists classify it as a brass aerophone.
