History of Austin Power Plant - J. M. Odom of Austin, Texas was awarded the construction contract to build Power Plant No. 2 for his bid of $489,830.
In 1950 The first construction phase of Power Plant No. 2 is completed and the plant was renamed for Walter E. Seaholm in 1960.
About Kirk Long
My art is mixed media with a heavy focus on metal and photography. Through my art, I try to inspire others to stop and look at the small details in life; the things that are there yet often overlooked. My art is influenced by nature, astronomy, and the spiritual journey we all take to reach a higher conciounsness. I primarily work with metal and have recently expanded to work with wood and photography. Art, in various mediums, has always been a big part of my environment. My mother is an artist and exposed me to painting at a young age. While welding in the Navy I developed a love for metal and today it has all come full circle...
