Strokes and lines, rapidly sliding onto virgin rag boards - with never the faintest thought of how, why or from where or what the urgency grips the medium that so articulates feelings into forms....
The winter of '89, like so many other years, was a perfect time to indulge such sessions. What purpose did it serve? Perhaps too many to broach here, but each such year brings me closer to a reason - even if the reason might well be utter folly.
But such folly is never barren; there is much nourishment in these residues... And in this case the residues are perfumed with stories of Camelot - even in guise of Quebec City in those earlier years of one who visited so often...

I am certain that others, like yourself, will appreciate how confounding it is to review, let alone make rational sense of the early, impassioned years of their odyssey - And the mythic term is much appropriate for the late modern traveler, as it was back in days before... Quebec City was a sort of Camelot for this youngster... and what arose in terms of creativity was found deep within caverns of every sort.........
