The background for this piece is made of tiny pieces of fabric cut up like confetti and quilted down. The foreground trees are bits of fabric fused together and then quilted with thread painting. Thread painting is using your sewing machine needle as a pencil and drawing ansd shading with lots of thread colors.
I am a self-taught artist who works in a variety of mediums. These mediums include fabric, pen & ink, graphite pencil, watercolors, and oils. The majority of my current work is in the form of art quilts. These are all original ideas and use traditional piecing, fabric dying and painting, as well as applique'.
